This policy explains how White Stone Ministries, Inc. ("White Stone," "we," "us") handles personal information collected through whitestonekids.org, our newsletter, our donation channels, and contact with our office. White Stone Ministries is a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates Casa Esperanza Children's Home in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico.

2. Information We Collect

• Contact details: your name, email, phone number and mailing address. We collect these when you subscribe, donate, email or call us.

• Donation records: gift amount, date, payment method and designation. We collect these whenever you give, by any method.

• Visit and volunteer details: group name, travel dates, number of people and any forms you complete. We collect these when you plan a visit or mission trip.

• Messages: whatever you write to us. We collect these when you use our contact form or send us an email.

• Website data: browser type, device, pages viewed and general location. This is collected automatically when you visit our site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process your gifts and send tax receipts

• Send our newsletter and ministry updates

• Answer your questions and plan visits, mission trips, and Bunk House stays

• Keep our children safe, including screening visitors and volunteers

• Meet our legal and financial reporting duties

• Improve our website

 

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with other ministries or organizations for their own fundraising.

 

4. Who We Share It With

We share information only with trusted services that help us run the ministry, and only as much as they need:

• Payment processors: PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Text2Give, and your bank, which handle online and bill-pay gifts under their own privacy policies

• Website host: Wix, which hosts this site and our newsletter sign-up

• Professional advisors: our accountants and auditors, under confidentiality

• Authorities: when required by U.S. or Mexican law, or to protect a child's safety

If you follow a link to Facebook, GuideStar, or another site, that site's privacy policy applies.

 

5. Children's Privacy

Children in our care. We treat the records of every child at Casa Esperanza as strictly confidential. Case files, histories, and placement details are shared only with Mexico's child protective services (PRONNIF) and others who are legally authorized. We never publish a child's full name, case details, or anything that could reveal their history. Photos are shared with care and only as Mexican law and placing agencies permit.

Children using this site. Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

 

6. Cookies, Security, and Retention

Cookies. Our site, hosted by Wix, uses cookies to make pages work and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well.

Security. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and secure payment services handle all online gifts. No website or email is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive financial details by email.

Retention. We keep donation records as long as tax and nonprofit laws require. We keep other contact information until you ask us to remove it or it is no longer needed.

 

7. Your Choices

• Unsubscribe from our newsletter anytime by sending an email to the address below.

• Review or update the information we have about you by contacting us.

• Ask us to delete your information, except records we must keep by law.

• Request no mail or calls and we will remove you from our lists.
