Dr. Sherman came to know Jesus at the age of 5. He had a strong talent for music and at an early age, wanted to become an orchestra conductor. After high school, he entered college to study music in order to prepare in the hope of fulfilling his childhood dream of conducting. He has always had a passion for children so upon graduation he combined his desire to work with children with his passion to conduct, he became a music instructor and band director in the public school system of Texas. During this time he served his church as a worship leader and youth director. Eventually, he became a teacher in a Christian school and then on to administrating over a Christian school. This led into full-time ministry. He began working with young people who had issues with drugs, alcohol and other bondages. He answered God's call to found White Stone Ministries as a way to minister to children who needed a home.In addition to working with White Stone, Dr. Sherman is the Del Rio Extension Campus Director of Texas University of Theology and an itinerant professor with Vision International Christian University of Mexico. He has developed several courses taught by the university.Dr. Sherman is a certified Personality Profiler and Behavioral Consultant using the DISC system of identification of the unique God-given temperament placed in individuals at the moment of conception. Using the DISC system as a basis, Dr. Sherman conducts a series of Seminars to help people with their interpersonal relationships.

Dr Sherman and his wife, Anna, are the Directors of the Children's Home and have dedicated their lives to rescuing and providing a home for abandoned and abused children and those that are orphans.
